If you simply need something to take the edge off, then nitrous oxide gas may be all you need. If you need something to relieve a lot of fear and anxiety, then Conscious sedation may be your answer. It is oral sedation that leaves you alert enough to follow simple tasks, such as turning your head, but you will not remember any of the sights, smells or sounds associated with the visit.
